I have always loved kids and knew from a young age that I wanted to work with children. I have also had a heart to help people since I was young. When I took my first psychology class, I realized a career in counseling was the way to combine these 2 passions. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from UT Austin and went on to complete a Master's in Counseling at the University of North Texas. It was during my Master's program that I took my first class in play therapy and soon began fulfilling my dream of helping children and families heal from difficult situations and grow into everything God has for them. I have had the privilege of working in agencies with children and families affected by abuse and trauma, using my counseling skills in a mission setting, and now in private practice. In my practice, my vision is to help struggling children and families, as well as adults, find strength and resilience to cope with life's challenges and move forward with confidence and joy.
My husband and I live in Dallas where we are members of a local Bible church. In my free time I enjoy pampering our cat, working in my flower garden, and baking sweet treats for family and friends.
